Founder of, Mariko Kuo is undoubtably a name to know now! Having started her blog as an inspirational outlet from her career in law, has since grown into an essential destination of fashion-forward sophisticated style; making waves in the London blogger scene having been featured on, and harpers bazaar to name a few.

Following her latest Instagram takeover for Three Floor SS16 at London fashion week, we caught up with Mariko for an insight into, including how she plans to style her favourite pieces from Three Floor Autumn/Winter 15…

You started looking for an inspirational outlet alongside your career in Law, how did you first begin to gather content for your blog?

My boyfriend bought a camera one day and had me stand in front of it.  The content for the blog just flowed from there.  Although I work with a lot of different photographers now, he is my most trusted photographer and takes all of Silk and Suit’s travel photographs.

Tell us about the kind of opportunities brings today.

Silk and Suits has opened up so many doors for me in the world of fashion and has given me opportunities beyond my wildest dreams.  I have been able to travel to Japan, Croatia, Morocco, Rome and France through Silk and Suits and hope the list keeps growing.  Fashion week is definitely one of the most exciting times of the year for me and it is such a great way for me to reaffirm my love with fashion.

How would you describe your personal style?

Chic sophistication with a fun twist.

Tell us how you have styled Three Floor AW15 and which trends you will be adopting come winter?

Three Floor’s AW15 collection has everything I need for a winter wardrobe.  I especially love the use of velvet in many of Three Floor’s pieces like the Blue Steel Dress.  It’s such a perfect dress for a night out or a sophisticated dinner.

Where would you like to see in the future?

The sky’s the limit!  I would love to see Silk and Suits spread across the world!

Shop the featured Blue Steel dress, Coat of Arms coat, Orion’s Belt top, Orbital trouser and Blackout Rucksack.
