#MichellePhan has been at the forefront of the digital revolution since 2007. She is an award-winning content creator, and was presented with the first ever #Streamy ICON ‘gong’, as well as #Forbes 30 Under 30 list in the category of Art and Style. Michelle produces, directs, stars in and edits all of her own work, and has released over 300 videos.
In August 2013, Michelle teamed up with cosmetics titan #L’Oreal to launch a make-up line em Michelle Phan. Most recently, she announced her partnership with #Endemol Beyond USA, and will be creating a niche premium talent network that will feature key tastemakers and pioneers in the #YouTube space, as well as curate and create inspirational content for millennials. In addition, she has joined forces with #CuttingEdgeGroup (CEG) to launch #ShiftMusicGroup, a unique model for a recording and music publishing company that leverages the power of social media to spread awareness of new and existing artists.
Quite an impressive CV for someone who has not yet hit 30!
We managed to grab five minutes with Michelle in New York City, at #TeenVogue’s Fashion University event, to discuss our favourite topics – music, fashion and festivals.
What do you look forward to most each spring? Seeing people wearing more color!
What song gets you ready for the spring/summer? #Flotus by #FlyingLotus
What is your favorite spring fashion trend? Old or new! I’m loving the transparent white textures that are being translated across bags and clothing
From where have you drawn inspiration for your spring fashion this season? I see what the street fashionistas are wearing in Asia. Their trends are massively different from ours in the west, but the online world is bridging everything together.
Which Three Floor piece is your #Coachella / Festival season must-have? The THREE FLOOR ‘Time After Time’ blue print jacket, I’ve been wearing it everywhere. I had to pack for a 5 day trip that goes from LA – NY – AUSTIN – JAPAN. This jacket is so versatile!
